About Copper Canyon

A system of 6 canyons in the Sierra Madre Occidental. Larger and deeper than the Grand Canyon. The Tarahumara people live here and are legendary long-distance runners. The Chepe railroad crosses 37 bridges and 86 tunnels. Copper was mined here by the Spanish.
