Possibly the deepest gorge in the world at 5,571 m from river to summit of Annapurna. The Kali Gandaki River flows between Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Annapurna (8,091 m). The valley is an ancient trade route. Saligram fossils found here are sacred to Hindus.
