About Bryce Canyon
Not actually a canyon but a series of natural amphitheaters. Contains the largest collection of hoodoos (tall thin rock spires) on Earth. Named after Ebenezer Bryce, a Mormon settler. The hoodoos form from freeze-thaw erosion. Over 200 days of freeze-thaw per year. Colors range from white through orange to red.
