Carved by the Colorado River. Mostly flooded by Lake Powell since 1963. The flooding was one of the most controversial environmental decisions. Rainbow Bridge, a natural sandstone arch 88 m tall, is accessible from the lake. The remaining exposed canyon is still spectacular.
