About Pine Creek Gorge
Known as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. Carved by Pine Creek through the Allegheny Plateau in Tioga County. Glacial debris at the end of the last ice age reversed the direction of the creek, which then cut the deep gorge. A rail trail follows the canyon floor. Leonard Harrison and Colton Point state parks overlook it from opposite rims.
