About Rhine Gorge

The Upper Middle Rhine Valley between Bingen and Koblenz, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002. Steep slate slopes are lined with vineyards and over 40 castles. The river narrows at the Lorelei, a 132 m rock linked to the legend of a siren who lured boatmen to their deaths. For centuries it has been one of the busiest trade routes in Europe.
