About Ruinaulta
Often called the Swiss Grand Canyon, carved by the Anterior Rhine through debris of the Flims rockslide. The slide, roughly 9,500 years ago, was the largest known landslide in the Alps. White cliffs rise steeply above the river. The Rhaetian Railway runs along the gorge floor. Popular for rafting and hiking in Graubunden.
